Taylor Kinney talks about torture scene
The most intense part of "Plan B" occurred of course near the end, when Taylor Kinney's life as Mason Lockwood was tragically cut short. What happened? To be specific, the werewolf character's heart was yanked out be Ian Somerhalder's Damon. He opened up briefly to Entertainment Weekly following the episode about what it was like shooting that difficult scene:
“Some of the times when we’d get rolling with it, it seemed really real. Ian wasn’t holding back. I think that guy was really trying to kill me. We made the most of it, and it turned out great."
Kinney admitted that he actually angered co-star Nina Dobrev for a little while when he actually spoiled his demise on the show, saying that she prefers to read about it in the script before she has anyone else tell her.
